Sunday at the Beach

On Sunday, we took the kids to the beach at Del Mar. They have this great grassy area just above the beach which makes it much easier for us. Unfortunately, this Sunday we had to deal with a few rude people. After being hit with some kids balls 3 times, I kindly informed the parents of the issue. The father told me that it was a "public" beach. I am amazed at how rude some people are. Have people always been so selfish or is this a new thing?
