On Wednesday, Emma and Henry had a lot of firsts. They got their 6 month shots, ate their 1st solid food, and got their 1st colds. Well, I guess that it is Emma's 2nd cold since she had RSV as a newborn. It has been a long few days with little sleep and a lot of fussiness. Poor Henry had a terribly fever on Thursday and fortunately that has passed. We made the mistake of cleaning out Emma's nose last night before her dream feed. Instead of making her feel better, we put her into a tantrum and didn't her back down until midnight.
The good news out of the last few days is that Emma has figured out how to eat and likes it! Last night at dinner, I couldn't feed her fast enough. She would open her mouth, take the food, swallow it and open her mouth again! She ate so much!!! Henry also finally started to swallow the food last night. He still is not so sure about this eating thing. I think that he will get into it when we feed him some actual food next week instead of the rice cereal.
